
Christian & Small welcomes 2026 Summer Associates: Lawson Brown, Catherine Eckerle, Carter Inman, Anna Kately Kuhn, Callie Stewart, Margaret Tarica, Paul Vercher, and Andrew Williams. The summer associate program provides law students with practical, hands-on experience in litigation and business development, as well as the opportunity to be mentored by lawyers across the firm.

Lawson Brown is a rising 2L at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. Lawson graduated cum laude from Samford University in 2025 with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Spanish. At Cumberland, Lawson is a member of the First Generation Law Society.
Catherine Eckerle is a rising 3L at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where she is on the Dean’s list and is a member of the Williams Trial Competition, the Women Business Leaders Bible Study, and is Treasurer of the Christian Legal Society.
Carter Inman is a rising 2L at the University of Alabama School of Law and serves as Senator of the Student Bar Association, and is a member of the Wellness Community and the Business Law Society, and graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University in 2025.
Anna Katelyn Kuhn is a rising 3L at the University of Alabama School of Law, where she also earned her undergraduate degree in International Studies. She is interested in civil litigation and eager to learn and gain experience across a range of legal areas this summer. This is Anna Katelyn’s second summer with Christian & Small.
Callie Stewart is a rising 2L at the University of Alabama School of Law, where she is a member of the Federalist Society, Dorbin Women’s Association, and the First Generation Law Students Association. She serves as Social Media Coordinator for the Christian Legal Society. Callie graduated summa cum laude from Jacksonville State University in 2025.
Margaret Tarica is a rising 2L at Tulane University Law School. She is a member of the Tulane Journal for Technology and Intellectual Property, the Sports Law Society, and the Tulane Disability and Health Law Society. Margaret graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 2023 with a B.A. in Political Science.
Paul Vercher is a rising 3L at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2023, where he majored in political science and minored in history. He is interested in civil litigation, particularly transportation and insurance law. This is Paul’s second summer with Christian & Small.
Andrew Williams is a rising 2L at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where he is a member of the Alabama Student Bar Association, the Cumberland Federalist Society, the First Generation Law Student Association, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Junior Board. Andrew graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University in 2025.
