Congratulations to LaBella Alvis and her teammates from the ADR Section of the Birmingham Bar Association for defeating the Maynard Cooper team at the Birmingham Bar Foundation’s 5th Annual Bocce Ball Tournament held Thursday, October 17, 2013. Other members of the winning team included Greg Kennemer, Ferris Ritchey, III and Brian Turner – all will have bragging rights for the remainder of the year. Dan Sparks, David Faulkner, LaBella Alivs, Jon Macklem, Jordan WoodThe win is especially fitting as this is the American Bar Association’s National Mediation Week. Proceeds from the Bocce Ball Tournament allow the Birmingham Bar Foundation to continue its support of the important work performed by the Legal Aid Society and the Birmingham Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program.
