Christian & Small is pleased to announce that Jordan C.Loper has joined the firm as an associate focusing her practice on civil litigation, insurance, premises liability and transportation matters.
“I believe that my background in building attorney-client relationships has given me the skills I need to support Christian & Small’s approach to being a client-centered law practice,” Loper said. “I’m excited about being part of a firm where I can focus on solving problems for my clients and help Christian & Small build on its reputation of being nonstop advocates in our community.”
Loper brings valuable hands-on courtroom experience having worked as a student attorney in the Immigrant Rights Clinic at Washington & Lee University School of Law. While serving in this capacity, she independently represented immigrant clients in deportation proceedings – instilling in her the importance of the attorney-client relationship at every level of the litigation process. She also clerked for a year with the Honorable Peyton C. Thetford of the 10th Judicial Circuit in Alabama.
Loper is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts in Alabama. She was a 2012 Magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina earning a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish. She also studied abroad at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2015 from Washington & Lee University School of Law. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the Young Lawyers’ and Women’s sections of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association (participating in its 2017 Bibb Allen Memorial Trial Academy ) and the Junior League of Birmingham.
