Christian & Small is pleased to announce that Helen M. Buckley has joined the firm as an Associate in the Birmingham office. Helen will focus her practice on Business & Commercial Litigation, Class Actions & Toxic Torts, Construction, Insurance, Labor & Employment, and Transportation. Buckley stated, “I am so grateful for the opportunity to join the talented team at Christian & Small. I look forward to growing as both a litigator and an individual alongside a team of professionals whose legal experience and professional reputations precede them.”
Prior to joining Christian & Small, Helen served as an interim clerk for the Honorable Staci G. Cornelius. She began her career in New Orleans, Louisiana where she practiced for a national firm focused on toxic tort, environmental, and complex products liability, as well as, for a firm specializing in insurance defense. Helen graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2014 and received her Juris Doctorate from Tulane University School of Law in 2017. During her time at Tulane, she was awarded the Dean’s Honor Scholarship and served as director of the Tulane University Legal Assistance Program. Helen serves on the American Cancer Society’s Shuck Cancer Junior Executive Board, and enjoys fostering dogs and spending time with family.
