Christian & Small is proud to announce that Partner Sharon D. Stuart has been nominated to run for the Birmingham Bar Association (BBA) Executive Committee, Place 3. Voting for the 2019 slate of nominees will take place online from Dec. 3 through Dec. 7, 2018. Birmingham Bar Association members may also vote in person at the Bar Association building (2021 2nd Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35203) the morning of Dec. 7.
Stuart has been very active with the Birmingham Bar over the course of her career – serving in several capacities, including as chair of the Ethics Committee, Civil Courts Procedures Committee and Long Range Planning Committee. She also served as Young Lawyer Section representative to the Grievance Committee, and as a mentor through the BBA mentoring program and the Women’s Section mentoring program. Last year, Stuart was named as a Fellow of the Birmingham Bar Foundation.
“The Birmingham Bar has been an important part of my career – providing wonderful service opportunities, as well as friendship and collegiality with lawyers from all practice areas,” Stuart said. “If elected, I promise to bring energy and focus to providing value to our members while promoting the Bar’s mission of legal justice and public service.”
