Christian & Small is pleased to announce that Rachel J. Moore has recently joined the firm as a partner. Moore’s practice emphasizes construction, commercial and banking litigation.
Moore practices in all state and federal courts in the state of Alabama, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Her experience includes preparing mechanics’ and materialmans’ liens and bond claims, and drafting and negotiating construction contracts. She also tries complex cases and arbitrations; negotiates and prepares forbearance and other “work-out” types of agreements; handles foreclosures, redemptions, judicial foreclosure actions and deficiency actions, prepares state and federal court appellate briefs and petitions, and presents appellate oral arguments.
Moore has been licensed to practice in Alabama since 1992, and holds an AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. She is a member of the American Bar Association, as well as the Birmingham Bar Association – where she serves in the Bankruptcy/Commercial Law Section, the Women Lawyers Section, and on the Fee Arbitration Committee. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her Juris Doctorate from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. Her community involvement activities include the Birmingham Children’s Theater Trustee Board, the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Eastern Women Junior Committee of Fifty and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
