Simon was one of three speakers participating in a roundtable discussion during the Florida Dispute Resolution Center’s 22nd Annual Conference for Alternative Dispute Resolution Professionals from Aug. 14 – 16, 2014 at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Fla.
Simon – along with Robert A. Shearer, Esq., and Dr. Jeanne D. Maes, both of the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama – participated in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Educators’ Roundtable, an interactive session that focused on trends and developments in the ADR profession. The session was designed to provide opportunities for seasoned ADR educators and trainers to share best practices and lessons learned with each other as well as with participants who are interested in developing or enhancing their own involvement in the field.
A former circuit judge, Simon’s practice focuses on mediation, arbitration, and special master appointments. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member of the National Judicial College, where he teaches Dispute Resolution Skills, and teaches mediation at the Miles College School of Law. Simon is a member of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators.
