Jack has deep experience representing local, regional, national, and international companies, as well as individual litigants, in a broad range of litigation matters in both state and federal courts throughout Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. Jack’s practice focuses on the defense of personal injury and death actions, complex consumer financial services litigation and creditor’s rights actions, and insurance bad faith and outrage actions.

For 23 years, Jack has represented business defendants in many important and varied class and individual actions, including one of the world’s largest insurers and its insureds in complex litigation spanning several heavily-regulated industries and against claims alleging, inter alia, trucking liability; insurance bad faith and outrage; wrongful death and catastrophic injury; products liability; construction defect; and toxic torts. Jack’s jury trial experience includes the successful defense of one of the world’s largest IT corporations against a plaintiff seeking over $1 million in a personal injury suit.

Throughout his career Jack has also regularly represented consumer reporting agencies, banks, mortgage lenders and brokers, student lenders, debt and asset purchasers, collection agencies, a captive finance partner of a major automotive manufacturer, and other financial services institutions against both individual and class actions, ranging from claims alleging violation of state collection and credit reporting law; to claims for alleged violations of federal consumer protection statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Truth In Lending Act; to claims in bankruptcy adversary proceedings alleging violations of the automatic stay and discharge injunction.

Regardless of whether he is representing an individual or a Fortune 500 company, Jack prides himself on his ability to provide sophisticated, successful representation in a cost-effective and efficient manner. He strives to develop a tailored litigation strategy according to each client’s unique needs and objectives.

Jack obtained his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University in 1994 and graduated from Emory University School of Law in 1998.
