Christian & Small is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Deborah Alley Smith has been named the 2016 President of the Birmingham Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors. She has been a member of the Birmingham Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2010 and plays an integral role in organizing its annual Appellate Courts Oral Arguments event.
In addition to her active post-judgment and appellate litigation practice, Smith is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a member of the 2014 class of Leadership Birmingham, and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, and Alabama Super Lawyers, where she is ranked among the Top 25 Women Lawyers in Alabama and the Top 50 Alabama Super Lawyers. She also currently serves on Teach for America-Alabama’s Advisory Board and the Birmingham Business Alliance’s Board of Directors.
