Christian & Small was one of the sponsors for the inaugural Girlfriend Gala benefiting the Literacy Council of Central Alabama. The event was held on Thursday May 17 at Work Play and was a celebration of friendship while promoting awareness and raising funds for adult literacy in Alabama.
The theme of the event was Girls on Film and each table represented a different film with decorations to match. Some table groups went so far as to come dressed to match their theme! Some of the table themes included The Help, Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friends, Bridget Jones’ Diary, To Kill a Mockingbird, Sex and the City, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Mama Mia, Julia & Julie, Confessions of a Shopaholic, The Witches of Eastwick, Fried Green Tomatoes, Home is Where the Heart Is, Legally Blonde, and Black Swan.
