Christian & Small Welcomes Kaeleigh S. Rafield As the Newest Associate in the Birmingham Office

Christian & Small is pleased to welcome Kaeleigh S. Rafield as the newest associate in the firm’s Birmingham office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, including insurance defense, creditors’ rights, products liability, and premises liability. She assists in all phases of the litigation process, from initial case assessment through trial and appeal.

Kaeleigh grew up in Panama City, Florida, and moved to Birmingham to attend Samford University, where she earned her B.A. in 2019. She then pursued her J.D. at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, graduating in 2023. During law school, Kaeleigh participated in several student organizations, including the Student Bar Association, and served as Chair of the Juvenile Justice Committee for the Center for Children, Law, and Ethics.

Kaeleigh is especially proud of her ongoing work and leadership with The H Project and Hero’s Child. The H Project was created after Hurricane Michael destroyed the church and preschool that Kaeleigh attended in her hometown of Panama City, Florida. The initial funds raised helped rebuild the church and school. Today, funds are used to support children in the community with doctor co-pays, specialist treatments, clothes, and essentials. Hero’s Child was established through The H Project and serves the community’s many first responders and their families. Hero’s Child connects families experiencing grief or PTSD with resources, pays for children to attend daycare, and provides meals for families when mom and/or dad are working on holidays.
