Christian & Small Welcomes 2025 Summer Associates

 

Christian & Small welcomes 2025 Summer Associates: Tanner Friese, Savannah Harris, Matthews Ivey, Ella Jordan, Anna Katelyn Kuhn, Brad Reynolds, and Paul Vercher. The summer associate program provides law students with practical and hands-on experience in litigation files, business development activities, and the opportunity to be mentored by various lawyers in the firm.

Jim Pattillo, Summer Associate Partner, expressed, “We are pleased to welcome our incoming class of summer associates. This talented group represents the next generation of lawyers, and we look forward to providing them with meaningful, hands-on experience that reflects the caliber of work we do for our clients. Their time with us will be both a learning opportunity and a contribution to the continued excellence of our firm.”

Tanner Freise is a rising 3L at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law where he is a member of the Bankruptcy Moot Court Team. He earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 2023, graduating with a double major in Finance and Business Analytics. Tanner has a strong interest in bankruptcy law and looks forward to working with the bankruptcy team at Christian & Small this summer.

 

Savannah Harris is a rising 3L at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law and is a member of the Trial Advocacy and Women in Law. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2023. This will be Savannah’s second summer with Christian & Small and we look forward to having her again this summer.

 

Matthews Ivey is a rising 2L at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law and looks forward to learning more about civil litigation and what it is like to be a practicing attorney. Matthews graduated from the University of Georgia in 2023 with a degree in Real Estate.

 

 

Ella Jordan is a rising 2L at the University of Mississippi School of Law and obtained her undergraduate degree from Ole Miss with a degree in Political Science. She is a member of the  Law Association for Women, Business Law Network, the Public Interest Law Foundation, and the Trial Advocacy Board. She was named Best Advocate in the in the Trial Advocacy Board Membership Competition.

 

Anna Katelyn Kuhn is a rising 2L at the University of Alabama School of Law where she also obtained her undergraduate degree in International Studies. She served on the Executive Board of Alpha Chi Omega and studied abroad in Paris for her French minor. She is interested in civil litigation and is excited to learn and gain experience in many different aspects of the law this summer.

 

Brad Reynolds is a rising 2L at the University of Alabama School of Law where he also graduated with 4.0 GPA and a degree in Criminal Justice. He also worked for the University’s Center of Advanced Public Safety and was recently selected to join Alabama Law School’s Trial Advocacy Competition Team.

 

Paul Vercher is a rising 2L at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2023 where he majored in political science and minored in history. He is interested in civil litigation, and in particular transportation law and insurance law.
