Christian & Small is pleased to share that Christina May Bolin has become a fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC), the preeminent association that represents the interests of insurers and policyholders in disputes arising out of insurance policies. The ACCC, established in 2012, is an invitation-only organization of senior lawyers who have devoted most of their practice to insurance disputes for 15 years or more. The ACCC’s Fellows include many of the most prominent members of the insurance law bars of the United States and Canada, as well as Honorary Fellows from academia and the judiciary.
The ACCC focuses on educating all sectors involved in the field of insurance law – including the judiciary, legal and insurance professionals, law students, and businesses – on cutting-edge, emerging, and critical issues such as developing trends in insurance law and bad faith, trial practice and alternative dispute resolution, policy formation and claims handling.
The ACCC’s mission is to advance the creative, ethical, and efficient resolution of insurance coverage and extracontractual disputes; to enhance the civility and quality of the practice of insurance law; to provide peer-reviewed scholarship; and to improve the relationships among the members of our profession.
“The ACCC is delighted to welcome Christina as the latest member to become actively involved in its work,” said Michael Aylward, president of ACCC.
Christina May Bolin leads Christian & Small’s Mobile/Baldwin County office – defending individuals, businesses, and insurers against lawsuits and liability claims, and assisting clients in the development of strategic solutions to legal disputes and litigation risks. Since 2001, she has defended property and casualty insurers in direct actions involving large property losses, catastrophic casualty claims, complex insurance coverage questions, fraud, and bad faith.
