Christian & Small is pleased to welcome Maggie H. Clanton and Catherine S. Collins as the newest associates in the Birmingham office.
Maggie represents clients in an array of legal matters including § 1983 Civil Rights actions, premises liability, personal injury, medical malpractice, and dram shop matters. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law where she was a member of the National Trial Advocacy Competition Team and a Class Senator for the Student Bar Association. Maggie served her community as President of Raise the Bar, a mentoring program for local youth, and earned her The Dean’s Community Service Award and a certificate in public interest law in 2019 from the University of Alabama School of Law. Maggie currently is an executive board member of the Birmingham Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Section, a member of the Women’s Section of the Birmingham Bar, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association.
Catherine is an associate in the firm’s Birmingham office and represents clients in civil litigation with a focus on insurance defense, construction, transportation, and professional liability. She graduated from The University of Alabama in 2017 and Samford University, Cumberland School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate, and Samford University Brock School of Business where she obtained her Master’s of Business Administration in 2020. During her time in law school, Catherine served as a 1L Representative, and subsequently, Vice-President of the Student Bar Association. She was also a member of Cumberland’s American Journal of Trial Advocacy.
