Charlie Shah was a coach for the Cumberland School of Law’s Moot Court team this fall. He accompanied the team, comprised of Katie Kimbrell and Mallory Schneider, to the 61st Annual National Moot Court Competition hosted by the University of Memphis School of Law in Memphis, TN. Nine teams from Louisiana State University, University of Tennessee, University of Mississippi, Faulkner University, Mississippi College, Loyola University, Vanderbilt, University of Memphis and Cumberland competed in the event. Kimbrell and Schneider, both second year students at Cumberland, had an impressive semi-finalist finish. Judge John L. Carroll, Dean and Ethel P. Malugen Professor of Law, congratulated the team and thanked Charlie and Jim Henry, the team’s coaches, for being great teachers, coaches and mentors. Dean Carroll commented, “teaching our students the right way to do things is the key to success.”
