News & Accolades

The Alabama Supreme Court and the Court of Criminal Appeals will be on “display” Thursday, October 6, 2011 as they hold Oral Arguments at the Wright Center on the campus of Samford University. The event is co-hosted by Cumberland School of Law and the Birmingham Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Birmingham Bar Association.

Oral Arguments are free and open to the public. If you have never witnessed our courts in action, this is the perfect opportunity.

The day begins at 9:00 am with welcome and introductions.

9:30 am – 10:50 am – Oral Arguments in Alabama Supreme Court Case: G.E. Capital Aviation Services, Inc. v. Pemco World Air Services, Inc.

11:00 am – 12:00 noon – Oral Arguments in Court of Criminal Appeals Case: Kevin Andre Towles v. State of Alabama

10:50 am – Noon – Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals
