Faulkner Jr., who was sworn into office as the District 46 State House Representative to the Alabama Legislature on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The ceremony occurred at Homewood City Hall, with Alabama Supreme Court Justice Glenn Murdock administering the oath of office.
In his speech following his oath of office, Faulkner said that he doesn’t intend to let his election change who he is, noting “If anyone ever has trouble getting in contact with me, I want to know about it.” He was joined by his wife Nancy and three children David, Wilson and Elizabeth.
Faulkner won the Republican primary for the District 46 seat back in June and ran unopposed in the November election. Some notable guests in attendance included Homewood Mayor Scott McBrayer, Mountain Brook Mayor Terry Oden, Homewood City Council members Peter Wright, Fred Hawkins and Heather Reid, Hoover City Council member John Lyda, and Mountain Brook City Council member Alice Womack. Also present were judges Bill Thompson, Teresa Pulliam and Bill Cole. District 46 covers Homewood, Hoover and Mountain Brook.
