“While it is true that most people never see or understand the difference they make, or sometimes only imagine their actions having a tiny effect, every single action a person takes has far-reaching consequences.” – Andy Andrews, The Noticer
Christian & Small lost a beloved family member this week when Terri Lynn Lowrey passed away after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. While we mourn her death, we also celebrate her life and her spirit.
Terri worked with Duncan Manley for more than twenty years and was there when Christian & Small was formed in 2000. Terri and Duncan shared a special bond that went far beyond your typical office relationship – they were true friends sharing in family ups and downs as well as day-to-day office life. In fact, we often joked that Terri often knew what Duncan needed and wanted before he did.
Terri faced the diagnosis of breast cancer as she faced other challenges – with dignity, grace, honesty and humor. She commented to her best friend and fellow co-worker Jane, “I don’t know why I developed cancer, but I know that my perspective in dealing with this disease and treatment could be positive for someone else.” Even in the worst of times, Terri maintained a positive outlook on life.
Terri’s attitude and positive outlook are an inspiration to us all and we honor her best by following her example.
