Christian & Small is pleased to announce Lisa M. Ramirez as recipient of the 2013 Christian & Small Diversity Scholarship. The $5,000 award is given to a second year law student who has a competitive GPA, does not receive other academic assistance and shows a commitment to diversity in the legal profession.

Lisa is a rising second-year student at Samford University’s Cumberland School of law. She is expected to graduate in the Class of 2015. Lisa is a full-time law student with academic success and continues to be placed on the Dean’s List. She is vice-president of the Hispanic Interest Law Student Association which strives to promote the understanding and awareness of the Hispanic/Latino culture and the legal issues facing the Hispanic/Latino community and the legal issues facing these communities in the Birmingham area. Lisa shared with us, “I am very grateful to receive the Christian & Small Diversity Scholarship. The scholarship greatly helps with the financial burdens while I pursue my dream of a legal education.”
Lisa is married and is raising two children. Prior to living in Birmingham, the Ramirez family lived in Pennsylvania.
